Welcome to Shinogi Michi Studio. My name is Chris Osborne and I provide polishing and full restoration services for the Japanese Sword. I work primarily on newly made swords, but if you have a high quality Nihonto I can arrange polishing for you through Jon Bowhay. Jon is a fully Japanese trained togishi and has recently relocated to the US after more than 50 years in Japan.
My standard polishing rate per inch is $39. Please keep in mind that this is only an estimate, and many times it will be necessary to have the blade in hand before an accurate determination of pricing can be made, especially with older swords.
